Local Database

Your inventory and sales data lives on your hard drive. We cannot see it.

Zero Spying

We do not track your customers or profit margins. Your business secrets are yours.

1. The "Local-First" Architecture

Unlike cloud-based POS systems, Kosh operates primarily on your local device. The database file containing your Invoices, Customer Ledgers, and Inventory is stored physically on your computer's hard drive.

This data is never uploaded to our servers unless you explicitly use a cloud backup feature (e.g., Google Drive sync). Kosh Platform has no technical access to read your business transactions.

2. Information We DO Collect

To provide the software license and support, we collect only the following:

  • Account Information: Name, Email, and Phone Number (used for login and billing).
  • Device Fingerprint: A unique Hardware ID (Motherboard/CPU serial) to lock your license key to your specific machine.
  • Payment History: Records of your subscription payments and invoices.

3. Information We DO NOT Collect

  • We do not collect your customer list.
  • We do not collect your daily sales figures or profit margins.
  • We do not collect your inventory supplier details.

4. Third-Party Services

We use trusted partners to handle specific infrastructure needs:

  • Razorpay: Processes payments. We never see or store your credit card numbers.
  • Supabase/Firebase: Manages secure user authentication (Login/Signup).
  • GitHub: Hosts the application update files.

5. Data Security

Since your business data resides on your device, its security depends largely on your device's safety. We recommend keeping your Windows/Mac updated and using an antivirus.

For the data we do hold (your account info), we use industry-standard encryption (SSL/TLS) during transmission and storage.
