"Out of Stock" is the worst phrase in retail. It doesn't just mean a lost sale; it means a lost customer who might go to your competitor.

The Barcode Revolution

Many Indian shop owners think barcodes are only for supermarkets. This is a myth. Even if you sell loose items or non-branded clothes, you can generate your own barcode stickers using Kosh's built-in Barcode Generator.

Setting Reorder Points (ROP)

You shouldn't wait until the shelf is empty to order more. The formula is:

ROP = (Daily Average Usage x Lead Time in Days) + Safety Stock

In Kosh, you simply set a "Low Stock Alert" number (e.g., 5 pieces). When stock hits 5, the item turns red in your dashboard.

Batch Tracking

Especially for FMCG and Pharma, selling old stock first is vital. Kosh's batch tracking ensures that when you scan an item, the system deducts from the correct batch, keeping your inventory value accurate.
